Where do most eCommerce entrepreneurs go wrong from the beginning, and why? They donât do their research.Â
They think itâs easy and doesnât require any work.Â
Rest assured, it is a business.
If it wasnât, MidoCommerce doesnât have a job to do.
What are three mistakes entrepreneurs make when choosing a platform for their eCommerce business, and how can these mistakes be avoided?
Lack of information and organization.
They do not focus on clients, only on profits.Â
Deactivations can be a real problem.Â
Do your research before you start doing business on a platform because, at first, you will only see the good things, but then the problems will come.Â
Some eCommerce businesses require many integrations. What are some of the oversights entrepreneurs commonly make when considering integrations for their eCommerce business, and how can these mistakes be avoided?
Entrepreneurs can be at risk of using too few or too many.Â
Sometimes one can find themselves putting a bandaid on a problem instead of solving it.Â
I suggest considering what part of the workflow you are smoothing out with the automation. Make sure it has a direct impact on your business and its operations.
One of the biggest challenges eCommerce businesses face is developing a website that is easy to navigate. What steps should be taken to ensure oneâs eCommerce website is easy to navigate?
1. Donât bury the lead
Get right to your product and how it will help solve a problem for the customer.
â2. Make it easy to buy
Donât make someone search around for how to buy your product once they decide to do so.
3. Make sure it works on mobile
So much is done on mobile.Â
If your site doesnât look professional or isnât easy to navigate on mobile, you can quickly lose a potential sale.
âHow should eCommerce businesses consider speed and performance as a part of their customer experience?
With Amazon, youâre competing with two-day shipping.Â
So, either you sell on prime with amazon, you can compete on value, or you alone offer the product.Â
Speed is essential.Â

How important is the utilization of programmatic and automatic ads designed to retarget customers across platforms, and why?
Retargeting is a great way to use your ad spend effectively. It can also help you see where potential customers are falling off in your sales pipeline.
How should eCommerce businesses implement email marketing into their strategy, and why?
Email marketing is an excellent way for brands to own a direct line to their customers.Â
It lets you easily communicate with them, share updates, and offer promotions.Â
You probably already have a lot of emails from orders, so if you have that and donât have an email marketing strategy, I recommend you get started.
How should eCommerce businesses market their product and brand, what role should 3D images and videos play, and why?
It is essential that eCommerce businesses effectively communicate to potential customers what their product is and how it works.Â
In our fast-paced world, video or 3D renders often go much farther than copy alone.
Being an immigrant from Venezuela, how do you keep yourself motivated to keep going and encourage those from your homeland to go after their dream?Â
The joy of watching and helping others succeed is all the motivation I need.
What has been your biggest hurdle as an entrepreneur and immigrant, and how have you overcome it?
Early in my career, my business partner and I got scammed and lost $10,000. We both sat together and said, âOkay, we lost money. What do we need to do? This will not kill us, but what can we do to prevent things like this from happening again? And how can we reach more clients?â This was the beginning of where MidoCommerce was born. We overcame it with grit, focus, hard work, and determination.
If you could provide one piece of financial advice for new business owners, what would that be, and why?Â
Be kind. It might not seem like financial advice, but it can save you a lot of money.
